Lorenz is a personal project, currently a pre-launch landing page. This policy describes the small amount of data we collect and how we handle it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@trylorenz.com.
What we collect
We collect the email address you submit through the waitlist form, the submission timestamp, a short non-reversible hash of the source IP, and the browser user agent. The hash helps spot abuse without storing the raw IP address. Visitors who do not submit the form are not tracked.
Where it's stored
Submitted email addresses are written to a private file in Amazon S3 (AWS, US-East-1 region). The bucket is not publicly readable; only the site operator can access it. We do not use a third-party email-service provider, and we do not share your email with anyone.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. There is no automatic expiry.
How to request deletion
Email hello@trylorenz.com with the address you'd like removed. We'll confirm and delete within seven days.
Google user data
The Lorenz Mac app runs on the owner's own Mac. When you connect a Google account, it reads, labels and sends Gmail messages and reads and edits Google Calendar events only to show and manage them in Lorenz on that Mac. OAuth tokens and message data stay on that Mac. They aren't sent to Lorenz servers, sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone.
Lorenz's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. To disconnect, remove Lorenz at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking scripts. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will move forward.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new effective date will appear at the top of the page. Material changes will also be noted on the home page changelog.
